In my mind’s eye, the trees of Apple Valley Farm become the palm trees of the Shamanic Valley campground. The outdoor bathtub becomes the hot spring pools. The crystal around my neck becomes the gathering of crystals at the head of the pool. This grass is the grass of the campground lawn. These chirping birds become the cawing ravens. Why have I returned to this place today? Oh, of course. Dion read these words: “Follow your bliss.”
This place for me is a place of bliss, belonging and connection. I feel myself enter the earth and spread out until my shape becomes a thin layer beneath the whole of the campground area. Above me is the landing strip, the road to the upper springs, the hills that ring the campground where I walk with Skip in the morning, the spring beyond the single outhouse, the water flowing from the spring down through the small gully, the arrow weed bushes that ring the campground, the main road coming in, the double outhouse with its two rooms named for men and for women, the grassy lawn with palms where the ravens and bats rest, the dishwashing area, the fire circle with its benches, the picnic tables with the nearby book cupboard, the bathing area with its shower and tub, and lastly the pit of the source water with its two soaking pool outflows. And I’m spread out underneath all of it, encircling it, embracing it with my energy because we give each other joy. I love you, I know you, I will return.
So this was a moment of following my bliss. When I let my world be rocked by a book called Co-Creative Science by Machaelle Wright. I spoke of this yesterday to a Women’s group and here I am today, back at the scene of the crime, so to speak, at the place of origin where my partnership with nature began. I called in nature and I said “I want to learn from you. Will you enroll me in your curricula?” These words, if you are earnest and speaking from your heart, will evoke a response from nature that is beyond amazing. These words change the course of your destiny. They are that powerful. You begin living a new life where work, learning and joy are one. Forget boredom, it will never darken your door again. You are launched on a great journey and like Christopher Columbus, you will discover new realms.
And one of the greatest joys for me is that I get to do things that feel important. I have assignments, real responsibilities that feel substantial and meaningful. Even if I feel tired at the end of the day, it’s a satisfied tired. I feel as though I’m saturated with something that feeds a deep need and satisfies a yearning in my core.
A coyote has appeared. From my position underneath the ground, I see him top the rise of the hill and look down upon the campground. Why is he here? To dialog with me.
Me: Welcome coyote. Do you have a message for me today?
Coyote: The sounds of war are fading. The military planes that fly here will soon be silent.
Me: Thank you for the message. Is there something I’m to do or someone I’m to tell?
Coyote: There’s something for you to do and there’s someone to tell. You are to do another Battlefield Process.
Me: Today?
Coyote: Yes, today.
Me: I assume from my house. Am I to teleport to another location?
Coyote: Yes, teleport to the labyrinth and do the same process you did the morning after President Obama’s election.
Me: OK. And is there someone to tell?
Coyote: The right time will come to speak of this with your sister Sue and her husband. Wait until then.
Me: Do you have other messages for me?
Coyote: No, I leave you now.
I’m still under the ground, I’m still healing the earth here. I send blessings to the campground host, that he be happy and protected. I send blessings to all the people and animals that come here, that they be happy and protected and that they have the capacity to comprehend and hold the sacredness of this place. And now I’m leaving. I lift out of the ground and hover above the campground, looking down on the palm trees. I see the airstrip below and the road coming in and the road continuing on toward the upper springs. I lift up higher and see the earth below and all of the western part of our country and the Pacific Ocean down below me. I see myself sitting on a chair at the Apple Valley Farm. And now I’m all the way returned, completely here in just this one place. I take just one more moment to give thanks for the lovely journey to my favorite place.
