We arrive at the Mineral Springs about 2 p.m. and take wonderful cleansing baths. Shawna arrives as we are bathing and begins her bath. During the bath, I connect the Mineral Springs with all the Misselthwaite points. When I’m finished, I use hot water from an electric kettle to sterilize a dropper bottle. Then I use brandy and 5 drops of the stock bottle solution to make a Slender Penstamons essence bottle for Shawna. After the baths, we go to the gazebo at the place where the white spring water (masculine) and the red spring water (feminine) flow together. I place a crystal that wants to be part of this ceremony on the altar. Sky asks Shawna to read the 72 names of God. Luckily she has brought the book. Her guides had sent her back to get it as she was leaving. Shawna chants or sings each name and we chant or sing with her as best we can. After each name, Sky hits her bowl like a gong. It takes a long time to do the whole ceremony. Afterward, my crystal wants to be left in the stream, so I toss it there.
We go into our room and eat humus, crackers, pears, and grapes. Shawna and Sky drink green tea. We talk about our lives and Shawna tells us a bit of her history. A few minutes before the equinox moment, we gather in a circle and hold hands. I say a few words about this equinox as being the time in nature that the call goes out to start the next cycle. And that we can call in the start of the next cycle in our own personal evolution. We have a few moments of silence while the equinox moment passes. Shawna hugs us both and leaves. I wonder when I’ll see her again.
